Infrastructure Plan

AKA what you need where

Your property portfolio is a patchwork quilt of sites donated, acquired and altered over many years. During this time your service delivery model, client needs, technology and policy context have changed significantly.

Our infrastructure plans identify the facilities you actually need to deliver on your strategic goals now and into the future.

Our process involves:

1 - Asset assessment: we examine your properties, their condition, urban and strategic contexts and how well they meet your current needs.

2 - We identify what you need to meet your strategic goals. This may involve number crunching demographic data, unpacking your new service delivery model and its implications for staffing, or looking at where your clients need to access your services.

3 - We then identify options to better align your property portfolio and strategic goals. This may include selling assets, purchasing / developing assets or modifying existing assets. Your leadership team will be uniquely positioned to make strategic, informed decisions thanks to our synthesis of demographic, property, strategic and cultural considerations.

4 - We map out how you can implement your preferred scenario, minimising the chance of abortive work and maximising your capacity to target funding.

Your organisation, from the CEO and Board to the Asset and Facilities Management teams will have a strategic, evidence-informed plan for investment and renewal. This means:

  • better properties, in the right place, working harder for your clients,

  • reduced recurrent costs;

  • credible analysis + implementation plans to attract funding and investment

  • an endorsed plan to provide clarity and direction  for your teams.

perfect if you want:

  • a ‘right size’ property portfolio that is fit for purpose

  • your properties to be adding strategic and cultural value

  • to respond to changing policy, service delivery or technology

  • “The Rutherglen Place Plan is a 30-year plan, guiding infrastructure development, supporting community advocacy and, critically, provides support for future funding success. The plan that PRL developed along with a highly engaged Steering Committee of broad community representation, is concise, communicates effectively, enhances advocacy and supports Council’s funding progress.”
